Learn on how to manage and understand fear

Miracles happen when we free ourselves from fear! Understanding more about fear, we will be able to be more proactive.

Before reaching the suggestions that I apply in my daily life, I would like to make a reflection to understand the feeling of fear, based on the book A Course in Miracles.

Many of us are trained not to see our biggest challenges or difficulties in the past. While attributing fear as reasons for not trying to do something, some fears can be linked to success.

Our greatest fear is often not that we are not capable of something, our greatest fear is that we are more powerful than we imagined. It is our light and not the darkness that surrounds us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, wonderful, talented or fabulous? In fact, who are you not to be? We are children of God. To act in a small or insignificant way does not help in terms of a better world.

Many behave in a lesser way so that other people around them feel safe by their side.

We are made to shine, just like children shine. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. And not just some of us, but everyone. When I speak, I am not referring to celebrities, but you have your own light, with your family, friends or work.

When we allow our light to shine, unconsciously, we are giving permission or encouragement to others to shine as well.

Fear is often involuntary it is beyond our control. I believe that our involuntary attitudes should be exclusive constructive. But the reality is different.

Fear cannot be controlled by me, but it can be self-controlled. The fear prevents me from giving you control. The presence of fear shows that we raise corporal thoughts to the level of the mind. It removes my control and makes us feel responsible for them. This is an obvious confusion of levels.

Being aware of this, we can adopt an attitude towards what direction we want.

The truth is that you are responsible for what you think because it is only at that level that you can exercise a choice. What you do comes from what you think.

Unconscious thoughts and actions may be automatic, but we have controlled since we are aware of what we are doing and thinking. As a Coach, I help my clients understand this process and use them to adopt more positive thinking.

As human beings, we have a natural tendency to focus on what is wrong instead of what is right. This happens due to the natural heritage from our anxious ancestors out-survived their more laidback relatives living long enough to reproduce and thereby passed on their inherent negativity to us.

You cannot separate the truth by giving the behaviour autonomy. This is controlled by you automatically. Whenever you are afraid, it is a clear sign that you have left your impulsive mind to act and not to guide it.

It makes no sense to believe that controlling or the result of obscure thinking can cause healing. When you're scared, you already started thinking incorrectly. That's why you feel responsible. You must change your mind, not your behaviour and it is a matter of will.

You don't need guidance, except at the level of the mind. The correction belongs only to the level at which a change is possible.

Correcting fear is your responsibility. When you ask for freedom from fear, it implies that you have no control over your thoughts. Instead, you should ask for help with the reasons that cause fear.

We are very tolerant of the wandering mind and we are passively tolerating the behaviour of our mind.

The correction is always the same. Before doing anything, ask if your choice is what you want.

Everyone experiences fear. If you want to refrain from fear, there are some things that you must understand and fully understand.

The mind is very powerful and never loses its creative strength. It never sleeps. Every moment is creating. It is difficult to recognize that thought and create a wave of energy that can literally move mountains.

If you have a specific fear, follow some reflections to help make small changes that can generate big results.

• Is your fear real or imagined?

Example: we are living in a time of the pandemic, or fear of contracting the viruses. How to manage this fear? My suggestion is simple. Identify where the threats are and avoid them. That is, staying at home, washing your hands and going out wearing a mask will reduce your chance of contracting the virus substantially. Other than that, stay away from the bad news, and use your mind with positive, neutral things or activities that will inspire you.

• Some people are afraid of losing their jobs or bankruptcy.

Living in fear will not help in any situation. So, my suggestion is to focus exclusively on opportunities that these threats are giving you. In my coaching work, I provide the client with the various opportunities that may exist in the face of fleeting difficulties.

Both fear and miracles come from thoughts. If you are not free to choose one, you would also not be free to choose the other. In choosing the miracle, you rejected fear.

When everything you retain is kind, there is no reason for fear to stay with you.

No one who lives in fear is really alive.

Choose to live in the light, and bring light with you wherever you go.
